Bethany Sterling, Director of Sales & Events
Bethany Sterling is a fifteen year veteran of the restaurant industry with nearly a decade in private dining and events management. As Director of Sales and Events for Occidental, Bethany oversees the sales and banquet teams, which execute all private dining events at the restaurant. Her approach to events and fine dining is all about guest satisfaction and a top-notch experience. With careful attention to detail and a focus on designing special occasions, whether for social gatherings or corporate functions, Bethany collaborates with the service and chef teams to personalize each experience.
As a second generation hospitality professional, Bethany has always had a knack for service, but it wasn’t until she joined Morton’s the Steakhouse in 2005 that she found her true calling in fine dining. The fast pace, precision and constant interaction with people hooked her right out of the gate. A fast study, Bethany worked her way up to Private Dining Manager within a few short years.
In 2010 Bethany landed a position with Darden Restaurants to open the first Seasons 52 in the DC area as the Sales and Marketing manager. Fast forward to a few years later and she was opening another new restaurant in the District- Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak and Stone Crab.
Bethany joined Occidental in late 2016 and in a short time has already proven and invaluable addition to the team, not only for her knowledge and experience but also for her friendly way with customers and great sense of humor.
